About This Spot

Stepping into Fried Green Tomatoes Macon, you’re greeted with the unhurried rhythms of a Southern kitchen that’s been welcoming locals and visitors alike with warmth and familiarity. The modest, lived-in space hums with a gentle, steady energy — nothing flashy, just an honest spot that invites you to slow down and savor good food made with care.

This is a place where the line between kitchen and table feels pleasantly thin. The friendly hellos from the staff create a sense of being known, like you’re settling in among neighbors who genuinely enjoy sharing a meal together. Plates come piled with comforting classics — crispy fried green tomatoes that snap with fresh flavor, hearty portions of fried and baked chicken that carry generations of careful seasoning, alongside soulful sides like candied yams and cornbread that speak to Southern heritage.

The pace here encourages lingering over the familiar — a peach cobbler’s warm sweetness, a serving of turkey wings as tender as a well-kept secret, or a basket of honey tenders that deliver a hint of spice. Even in the simplicity of the setting, or perhaps because of it, there’s a sincere joy in each bite and every shared moment.

Fried Green Tomatoes Macon isn’t about polished perfection but about comfort and connection — where the food feels like a warm hand on the shoulder after a long day, and the team’s genuine kindness turns a meal into something quietly memorable. Whether you’re stopping by for a casual breakfast or settling in for an all-you-can-eat dinner, this spot strikes a balance between local tradition and a welcoming spirit that lingers long after you’ve left the table.

Food was well priced and delicious. The atmosphere is a little worn and dated. The service was friendly. The food could have been a little hotter.

Holy Turkey Wing Heaven, Y'all! My family and I are scoping out GA (From AZ) and stopped here for some food and we were NOT sorry. The service was outstanding, a sweet "hello" as soon as we walked in, and every staff member in the dining room chatted with us. Jennifer was so kind and really made us feel at home. My husband, daughter and I, all loved the turkey wings over rice. Like wow... I never experienced turkey like that. I loved my fried pork chop, so did my kiddo. My hubby loved his fried chicken, we all enjoyed the yams, green beans and fried green tomatoes, and my daughter liked the okra. The only slight disappointment was the cornbread, it was dry... but its cornbread- it happens. We just used it for sopping Is it fancy, no. Is it comfort food yummy enough to satisfy my big back, uh yes! And its so affordable! I 1000% recommend. I can't wait to come back!

Im a frequent guest and this is so affordable. Plus the service is A1. Baked chicken, baked spaghetti, lemon pepper wings and turkey wings are my favorite. And the fried green tomatoes are a must.

$10 for a plate with 2 full sized meat entrees is amazing. I picked the fried chicken (2 full pieces) and giant turkey wing. They also offered extra fried green tomatoes in place of the bread. Every single part of this meal was awesome. Chicken was fresh, hot and crispy, turkey wing was extremely tender.

It is like a walk up counter where they build your plate style restaurant. The pulled pork and fried chicken were decadent. The greens and broccoli salad are amazing. The pineapple cobbler was so unique and delicious. I almost cried the food was so good. The people were so friendly too. Very awesome experience!

This is a Southern food restaurant not a Soul food restaurant. Didn't like , Acceptable , Liked Monday Collard greens Potato Salad Cornbread Pork chop Lemon pepper breaded wings Wednesday Yam Souffle Beef Tips Black Eyed Peas Baked Chicken Peach Cobbler Roll Rice Thursday Rutabaga Cornbread Dressing Turkey Wings Roll Rice Over all you can't beat the prices and portions. The customer service was on point. Once you find items you like you won't regret giving it a visit. The high rating is for the things I enjoyed or found acceptable, as well as factoring in price, customer service, and portion size.
